3rd Annual VAI Pickleball Open

Grab your racket, shoes, and favorite partner and get ready to compete at the 3rd annual VAI Pickleball Open! Join us for a kickoff dinner at MDRD on June 26, and the tournament on June 27, on the rooftop of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.

The round robin tournament features morning, afternoon and evening sessions, along with novice and intermediate/advanced divisions. Bragging rights are up for grabs, with all proceeds supporting biomedical research and education at Van Andel Institute.

The evening before the Open, players are invited to an exclusive dinner and auction at MDRD. In addition, all players will receive a premium gift package.

All-white attire is required for the dinner and tournament.

Please note rating information below:

• Beginner: 2.0-2.5 | Play has limited experience and is still learning the game’s rules and techniques. Players at this level can sustain short rallies but may struggle with consistency and control.
• Intermediate: 3.0-3.5 | Play can construct limited points, hit forehands, drives, serves and returns. Can hit dinks & drop shots but may lack consistency and control.
• Advanced: 4.0+ | Advanced players are proficient at all aspects of the game, including strategy, shot execution, and teamwork.
