13th annual Grand Rapids Griffins Purple Community Game
Van Andel Institute is excited to host our 13th annual Grand Rapids Griffins Purple Community Game at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Van Andel Arena, as the Griffins take on the Milwaukee Admirals.
Join us at Gimme’s Par and Grill, 45 Ottawa Ave NW for pre-game and post-game food, drinks and fun! 10% of all proceeds from the evening will go to support research at VAI! Special prize drawings will be held as well!
Enjoy special pricing on lower-level seats while supporting cancer and Parkinson’s research at the Institute. Center Ice tickets are just $23, and Faceoff seats are only $26, with $3 from each ticket going directly to VAI.
During the game, the Griffins will wear custom purple jerseys that will be auctioned off online and live after the game — with all proceeds benefiting VAI’s groundbreaking research!
Other game night highlights include:
- ‘90s-themed game and jerseys
- Intermission activities hosted by Maranda of WOOD-TV
- 50/50 raffle (100% of proceeds going to VAI)
- $2 beers and $2 hot dogs from 6–8 p.m.
- Limited-edition VAI Purple Community jersey auction after the game
- Limited-edition, co-branded Griffins and VAI Purple Community apparel at our concourse table
- Limited number of purple ticket packs purchased receive passes to high-five the players
